DR. Sutanto Hadisupadmo; He has more than 15-years experiences as instructor on Instrumentation, Measurement Control & System, PLC, DCS Programming, Advance Process Control, etc.  His professional education started on Engineering Physics, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB-1977), Diplome Universite in Energetique, Universite de Prepignan, France (1985), Magister Engineering in Instrumentation and Control (ITB) and Doctor (ITB).  As lecturer at Department of Engineering Physics Department-ITB, he active doing research, writes book/hands-out and published.  As professional he has handled many projects in Instrumentation Process, Tools Evaluation, Transmitter, General Instrumentation Specification Evaluation, Commercial Building Power Audit, Maintenance Management Evaluation, etc. To get more advance information and knowledge he has participated in domestic and overseas training, seminar, course and conference as participant or speakers.

PENDAHULUAN :


PLC adalah bagian system control utama dalam system control automasi di semua lini industry, sehingga memahami PLC adalah hal penting. DESKRIPSI



Bidang kontrol/ instrumentasi dalam dunia industri mempunyai peranan yang sangat significant, apalagi dalam proses yang membutuhkan presisi, kehandalan dan keamanan sistem. Instrumentasi industri telah menjadi bidang yang memberikan manfaat yang sangat besar terutama dalam kegiatan otomatisasi industri.



Sistem Instrumentasi merupakan sebuah sistem yang meliputi pengaturan variable-variabel seperti temperature (temperature), tekanan (pressure), aliran (flow) dan kecepatan (speed). Variable-variable ini merupakan keluaran yang harus dijaga tetap sesuai dengan keinginan yang telah ditetapkan terlebih dahulu oleh operator yang disebut set point.



Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi khususnya dibidang teknologi digital dan computer, sistem instrumentasi yang dikembakan menggunakan dukungan teknologi tersebut. Berbagai perangkat didesain untuk semakin memberikan kemudahan dan kahandalan didalam automasi industri. Salah satu perangkat yang banyak digunakan dalam automasi industri adalah Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)  PLC adalah sebuah modul perangkat digital  yang khusus digunakan mengontrol plant secara otomatis dan dapat deprogram sesuai dengan sistem/ plant yang akan dikendalikan. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) dirancang untuk tahan terhadap debu, suhu, dan getaran sehingga diaplikasikan secara luas dalam dunia industri. Selain itu, PLC memiliki banyak modul masukan dan keluaran yang mendukung pengendalian proses industri yang kompleks.



Dengan menggunkan PLC, system pengontrolen proses industri menjadi lebih terintegresi dalam modul-modul yang lengkap dan lebih mudah serta dapat dikoneksikan dengan berbagai perngkat lain seperti server dan jaringan komputer guna pengembangan automasi yang lebih handal.



Tujuan pengendalian adalah mendapatkan hasil kerja sistem seperti yang diharapkan, dengan meminimalkan atau bahkan menghilangkan error. Ada beberapa metode yang sering digunakan dalam proses pengendalian, seperti on-off, Proporsional-Integral-Derivatif (PID), Logika Fuzi, atau Algoritma Genetika. Sistem kendali PID cukup mudah diterapkan dan banyak digunakan di industri. Dengan mengaplikasikan sistem kendali PID dalam pemrograman PLC, dapat dibuat sistem kendali automasi industri yang handal dan memberikan hasil kerja yang diinginkan.

Tujuan Pelatihan

INTRODUCTION



There has always a great need for communication within industries. However, in the present, the focal points have changed. In the past, integration considered the different levels in the automation process where in the lowest level sensors and actuators communicate with a controller. Communication for the different levels was solved separately using the well known communication protocols. Now there are quite different demands. From underneath field devices with more intelligence, stand alone production equipment and other automation parts need to communicate large quantities of data in fast and deterministic fashion. From the top level (management level), the demands are production planning and control integration, quality management, traceability, maintenance systems and others. There is a need to integrate everything from sensors to the board of directors, from remote plants to local operator station, etc. This calls for a better communication.



Recently, Industrial Ethernet provide that field buses do not already offer, such as: integration to the office world, more bandwidth and bigger data package for communication, faster real time communication, homogenous networking mostly using Ethernet, integration of existing field buses, and many more. These properties have motivated to introduce Industrial Ethernet solution.



In this training program, we have designed a course that will show participants the advantage of industrial Ethernet technology, architecture/ topology, the needed software, the integration of existing field buses, the application, etc.



DESCRIPTION



Gives the communication principle and application. Introduces Modbus communication on PLC. Provides networking topology in industrial automation and how to create networking with PLC. Describes Modbus TCP/IP communication on Ethernet. Provides integration of existing Modbus communication.

DR. Ir. Endra Joelianto



DR. Ir. Endra Joelianto is an expert in control engineering. His outstanding research is: Hybrid Control Systems, Discrete Event Control Systems, Petri Nets Analysis and Application on PLC, Robust PID Controller, Advanced Process Control, Industrial Automation using PLC/ DCS. He received first degree (Ir.) in Engineering Physics in 1990 from Department of Engineering Physics, ITB and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) in Control Engineering in 2001 from Department of Engineering, The Australian National University, Australia.



He is coordinator of Intelligent Control and Automation, and founder of PLC Research Group, Laboratorium Instrumentasi dan Kontrol (LINK), Departemen Teknik Fisika, Institut Teknologi Bandung. He was the founder and the director of Schneider-OMRON PLC Training Center, Maranatha Christian University, Bandung. The Schneider-OMRON PLC Training Center has cooperation with PT. Schneider Electric Indonesia, PT. OMRON Corporation Japan, Invensys WONDERWARE.



He was the project leader for TPSDP Retooling Program Batch II-DIKNAS for Training Program on “INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION USING PLC” 2004 and Co-provider for the same retooling program Batch II on “INDUSTRIAL CONTROL AND AUTOMATION” by PT. Cahaya Sumirat, Bandung. In 2005, he leads the retooling project entitled PLC for Industrial Control and Automation at the Department of Engineering Physics, ITB
