Instructors:


Dr. Edwan Kardena is a leading scientist and engineer in the field of microbial process for bioremediation of organic and toxic chemicals, such as petroleum hydrocarbons and halogenated compounds. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University College of Wales in Cardiff, United Kingdom in the field of Environmental Microbiology/Biotechnology in 1995. He is currently known as a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Engineering ITB.


Dr. Sri H. Suhardi is an environmental microbiologist and currently known as a researcher at the Inter University Center for Research on Biotechnology. Her major interest is in the use of fungi and biocatalyst for treatment of industrial waste. She has extensively been working with phenolic compounds such as chlorophenol. She got her Ph.D. degree from University of Kent at Canterbury, United Kingdom in 1995.


They have been participating on various courses organized by the government such as BAPPEDAL, PUSARPEDAL, PEMDA, etc.  Both of them are consultant and team mate in doing a lot of training project at multinational companies, such as Chevron Pacific Indonesia, ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia, Vico Indonesia, Total E&P Indonesie, ConocoPhillips Indonesia Limited, Chevron Indonesia Company, PetroChina, Pertamina, Petronas, Freeport, etc.

DESCRIPTION


The purpose of this course is to introduce personnel to the turbo machinery package, explain system functions and interface, introduce proper operation procedures, and acquaint the student with basic maintenance procedures.


At the conclusion of this course the student should have a basic understanding of turbine engine theory, be familiar with the Solar turbine package and its components, understand satisfactory operation of the package, and be aware of routine maintenance procedures.

This course does not prepare the student to accomplish advanced maintenance and troubleshooting functions. Solar turbine package are built to exacting specifications and more extensive training is required before a serviceman is qualified to perform major repairs and adjustments.

Description


Sejalan dengan kebijakan pemerintah dengan diterapkannya Permenaker No. 4 tahun 1987 tentang Panitia Pembina Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (P2K3), UU No.13 Tahun 2003 tentang penyelenggaraan Sistem Manajemen K3 (SMK3) dan khususnya peraturan yang berkaitan dengan bidang kelistrikan seperti KepMenaker No. Kep-75/ MEN/2002 tentang pemberlakuan PUIL 2000 dan Permenaker No. Per.01/MEN/1989 tentang pengawasan Instalasi Penyalur Petir, PT Centra Gama Indovisi sebagai perusahaan PJK3 yang ditunjuk oleh DEPNAKERTRANS RI menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Ahli K3 Listrik. PID Controller has been applied in major process industries worldwide since 1940. This controller is still the main controller in the process industries, although the hardware has changed from the stand analog/digital alone controller to distributed control systems (DCS) or programmable logic controller (PLC). The success of the PID controller relies on its simple algorithm but produces high control performances even for different application areas in industries. One main interesting feature of the PID controller is its ability to receive enhancement without any major changes in its basic algorithm form. Therefore the PID controller can be enhanced without replacing the controller itself.


To achieve enhancements, it requires additional process insight, which is developed through increased engineering analysis and effort. The additional effort can be richly rewarded because the enhancement can substantially improve control performance, reducing the integral errors and maximum deviation. The success of the enhancement depends on the quality of the engineering analysis: the accuracy of process insight and the application of the design principles.


In this training program, it will be discussed and covered the enhancement of the PID controller which is known as Advanced Process Control. This training is not similar to Process Control that covers PID algorithm and the well known tuning methods: Trial error, Ziegler-Nicholls and Cohen-Coon. However, Advanced Process Control covers material where that well known tuning methods fail to satisfy the required high performance for complex process control.

Description


Assuming that a plant is a body of human being, pumps are the "heart" of the body. Those play very important and vital roles to flow the "blood" of a plant. In every plant or production operation system, we find pumps. However, unlike bolts and nuts, neither industry nor production-operation management will put pumps in stock. It is NOT cost effective and is very uncommon practice to put a complete set of pump in the warehouse stock due to financial reasons.
Therefore, properly specifying, selecting, installing, operating and maintaining pumps are very significant and are very important steps to have "trouble free" during the entire life of the plant operation. Thus, proper maintenance and operation is also the key to reduce the entire cost of the plant and production operation system.
This five-day training will provide a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of pump selection, installation, operation, and maintenance program. The training will concentrate in centrifugal pump as they are the most common one used in the industries and day life.

3. Basic Theory of Reciprocating Pump and Installation




  • Type of reciprocating pumps

  • Indicator diagram of a reciprocating pump.

Description


The training will be take about three days - the first two days will cover basic conveyors, selection, safety, legal obligations, terminology and background and an optional third day will deal with the nuts and bolts of conveyor, chute and feeder design. Belt conveyors frequently provide the most satisfactory and economical method of transporting materials such as mine ores, earth, sand, crushed stone, cement and concrete. The high and continuous speed of operation of the belt makes for a high capacity of transport of materials. This workshop is designed for engineers and technicians from a wide range of abilities and backgrounds and will provide an excellent introduction to troubleshooting, maintenance and basic design rules of conveyors and chutes. It is intended to cover the fundamentals of belt conveying and would be useful for those with little experience in this area. Before commencing a detailed course on conveyors it is important to have a solid practical knowledge of the material to be conveyed. A basic knowledge is provided of the bulk materials characteristics and properties. This will enable you to have a far stronger ability to troubleshoot and design workable conveyor systems. Numerous tips throughout the course make it practical and topical. You will also engage in problem solving and case studies to absorb the materials as quickly and effectively as possible
