About The Course

He obtained his Doctor from Asian Institute of Technology, Division of Energy Technology in Bangkok, Thailand.



He has been delivering training course in Economic, Finance, Marketing, Policy & Planning Analysis of petroleum & Gas Industry since 1992. he also has expertise in technical petroleum engineering. His professional experience include contributing author in many congresses conventions, exhibition, seminars, workshop, symposiums & conferences.           Investasi dalam proyek industry Oil dan Gas adalah salah satu kegiatan usaha pengeboran gas alam yang sangat ber- resiko dan membutuhkan investasi yang besar.  Berdasarkan statistik  ,  dari ber-ratus-ratus sumur yang digali, hanya menghasilkan  satu dari sepuluh sumur yang diharapkan akan berhasil  yang nantinya   dari satu sumur yang hasilnya baik akan menghasilkan laba yang besar . Namun dengan peluang kegagalan sebesar 90 % dan peluang keberhasilan yang hanya sebeasr 10 %, apabila setiap tahun mengebor 2000 sumur, maka dengan tingkat keberhasilan 10% setiap menggali 100 sumur, maka proyek investasi gas alam akan menghasilkan sekitar 200 sumur yang sukses. Dan apabila dalam tahun yang buruk hanya menghasilkan 190 sumur yang sukses, tapi dalam tahun yang baik mungkin menghasilkan 210 sumur yang sukses, maka secara keseluruhan tidak terlihat sama sekali bahwa proyek gas alam mempunyai resiko yang besar. Resiko dalam investasi sangat bervariasi bergantung pada cara pandang individu terhadap resiko tersebut, karena sebagian resiko dapat didiversivikasi dalam portofolio pemegang saham perusahaan.

          Beliau adalah Doktor di bidang Tehnical Science di Asian Institute of Tehcnology Jurusan Tehnologi Energi Bangkok. Beliau mendapatkan sarjana Tehnik Jurusan Tehnik Perminyakan Di ITB tahun 1981 dan melanjutkan pendidikan untuk mendapatkan master Di University of Wisconsin Madison Amerika Serikat  di bidang Energy Analysis, Policies and Planning tahun 1984. Pada tahun tersebut beliau juga mendapatkan Certificate of Completion of Master Level di University of Wisconsin Madison, Institute for Environmental Studies.


          Sejak tahun 2006-sekarang, beliau sebagai  Ketua Program Studi S2 & S3 Teknik Perminyakan, Fakultas Teknik Pertambangan dan Perminyakan, Institut Teknologi Bandung maupun sebagai  staf pengajar. Sejak 2004 beliau juga menjabat sebagai Komisaris di PT.Kilang Musi Banyuasin maupun Direktur Utama PT.Gada Energi (Badan Usaha Milik - ITB). He post-graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology (sponsored by UNESCO) in 1977. He joined in-field-practice program at Nippon Kokan Steel Company & Research Center Kawasaki, Japan for production facility design & construction and corrosion prevention & control in 1983, and collaborated with Cormon Industrial Research Center Brighton UK for on-line corrosion monitoring development in 2000. He has been delivering training course in production operation, maintenance & safety and corrosion control for personnel from Oil & Gas Company and Petrochemical Industry since 1979.
