There are many categories of hazards that might be encountered in a laboratory setting, and situations can change frequently. Even after you have identified and controlled all current risks, it is critical that you remain open to the possibility that new unexpected dangers can arise. Periodically verify the hazards are required. All employees who work with hazardous chemicals must be apprised of the hazards of chemicals present in theirwork area. This training must be provided before initial assignment and before new exposure situations. Personal protective equipment necessary for the safe handling of hazardous substances must also be provided.
Employees who work with chemicals in laboratories must be trained on the Laboratory Standard. Additional training is required when new exposure situations arise. Such situations include the use of new chemicals, greater quantities of chemicals, and different procedures.

Pendidikan formal beliau didapat dari Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Airlangga pada tahun 1979, dan Magister of Science dalam Kedokteran Okupasi dari Bagian Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia (2004), beliau juga sering mengikuti berbagai training baik itu di dalam maupun di luar negeri yang berkaitan dengan Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja. Perjalanan Karir beliau sebagai praktisi kesehatan kerja dimulai sejak tahun 1982 - 2005, dimana beliau pernah mengemban jabatan sebagai Chief Medical Officer pada PT. Ekspan Kalimantan dan kemudian menjadi Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Coordinator pada PT. Medco Energy E&P. Sekarang ini beliau aktif sebagai trainer & konsultan pada bidang Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene.

The Assessment along with the original papers will be sent for External Evaluation. The External Evaluator is not a member of MEC but directly appointedby CAMI.The complete Verification and the consolidated report will be sent to CAMI. They will assign a Unique Accession Number to each Candidate. This will bein your certificate. The entire evaluation process normally takes 2 months; during certain seasons it might take 3 months. The Certificates will be Prepared based on the final consolidated assessment. By the end of two-three months the Certificate along with the Transcript will be handed over to the participant.

Menurut ISO (International Organization for Standardisation), akreditasi adalah pengakuan formal terhadap laboratorium penguji /kalibrasi yang mempunyai kompetensi untuk melakukan pengujian /kalibrasi tertentu yang tertuang dalam peraturan ISO 17025:2005. Akreditasi laboratorium mampu memberikan jaminan terhadap mutu dan keakuratan data hasil uji/kalibrasi sekaligus menjamin kompetensi laboratorium penguji/kalibrasi. Karir profesionalnya dimulai sejak bergabung di PT. Dow Chemical Indonesia (1992 1994), PT. Polytama Propindo (1994 1998), dan PT. PT. Australian Laboratory Services Indonesia (1998 2005). Saat ini beliau banyak memberikan training dan konsultasi untuk membantu berbagai industri, organisasi, instansi, laboratorium, dan pelaku bisnis dalam penerapan Sistem Manajemen Laboratorium berdasarkan ISO/IEC 17025, diantaranya untuk PT. Corelab Indonesia, PT. Australian Laboratory Services Indonesia dan pada project EU TSP Project in Indonesia Ministry of Marine Affair & Fishery. Beliau juga tercatat sebagai Anggota Sub Panitia Teknis Rancangan Standar Nasional Indonesia (RSNI) bidang Lingkungan pada Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup dan juga tercatat sebagai ISO 17025 Certified Assessor dari Komite Akreditasi Nasional.

Key points to note during the assessment process



The Assessment along with the original papers will be sent for External Evaluation. The External Evaluator is not a member of MEC but directly appointedby CAMI.The complete Verification and the consolidated report will be sent to CAMI. They will assign a Unique Accession Number to each Candidate. This will bein your certificate. The entire evaluation process normally takes 2 months; during certain seasons it might take 3 months. The Certificates will be Prepared based on the final consolidated assessment. By the end of two-three months the Certificate along with the Transcript will be handed over to the participant.

DR. Ir. I Wayan Suweca has been a senior consulting engineer specialist for PT. TIMAH Tbk., PT. TAMBANG BATUBARA Bukit Asam, KONDUR Petroleum S.A., and PT. KAI whereas he's involved in failure analysis of machineries and equipments' design. Mr. Wayan also is a distinguished professor of mechanical engineering at ITB since 1987 and has conducted numerous short courses and seminars for various major oil companies such as PT. CALTEX Pacific Indonesia, PT. FREEPORT Indonesia as well as VICO.



His field of expertise includes mechanical design and drawing, stress analysis and computer aide MSC/Nastran finite element program, mining hydraulics, and vibrations control as well as maintenance management. Mr. Wayan received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, French in 1990.
