Prerequisites


None. No previous training in gas plant operation is required. However, to gain the most from this course, a basic understanding of physics, chemistry and basic unit operations will be helpful.


 


Description




  • This course focuses on gas handling, conditioning and processing in an integrated plant from purification to liquefaction.  Review on general natural gas processing will be given in detail. Active participation is encouraged through case studies and examples especially on the process scheme at participant’s field.

  • Basic principle of each process and the related equipment will be discussed.


 


Duration


This course is designed for four days. It is possible to tailor for specific goal, upon request.

The training will be delivered in the form of classroom exposition, case studies and open discussion. Course materials will be handed out by organizer.


 


Course Leader


This specially designed course will be conducted by *Hilman Ahmad & Associates*, an Independent Consultant in industrial oil and gas, member of the Society of Indonesian Petroleum Engineers, who manage the Bandung Industrial Oil & Gas Education Center, and has been practicing production operation and corrosion control engineering in Indonesia for more than twenty-five years. He post-graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology (sponsored by UNESCO) in 1977. He joined in-field-practice program at Nippon Kokan Steel Company & Research Center Kawasaki, Japan for production facility design & construction and corrosion prevention & control in 1983, and collaborated with Cormon Industrial Research Center Brighton UK for on-line corrosion monitoring development in 2000. He has been delivering training course in production operation and maintenance and corrosion control for personnel from Oil & Gas Company and Petrochemical Industry since 1979.

TUJUAN PROGRAM
Program pendidikan AK3 ini adalah program Depnaker untuk memepersiapkan ahli-ahli K3 di perusahaan yang dapat membantu mengembangkan K3 di perusahaan.


Merupakan bentuk seleksi atau penilaian khusus bagi seseorang atau tenaga teknis tertentu yang pernah mengikuti kursus petugas K3 (safety officer) atau kursus instruktur K3 yang berminat menjadi ahli K3 sebagaimana di maksud dalam UU 1 tahun 1970 dan peraturan pelaksananya dengan waktu penyelenggaraan sekurang-kurangnya 120 jam pelajaran atau selama 11 hari efektif.


 


SASARAN PROGRAM
Setelah menyelesaikan program ini, peserta diharapkan mampu :




  • Menjelaskan tugas, wewenang dan tanggung jawab AK3

TRAINING INSTRUCTOR


Ir. Pawito Merto Sontowiro, Msc adalah alumnus Teknik Mesin ITB dan sejak tahun 1973 menjadi dosen di jurusan tersebut sampai sekarang. Beliau adalah kepala Laboratorium Energi termal Teknik Mesin Institut Teknologi Bandung, Beliau juga pernah menjabat sebagai ketua jurusan Teknik Mesin ITENAS Bandung, Pernah mengajar di SESKOAD, Pernah mengajar di prokerma depnaker-ITB, prokerma PLN-ITB. Beliau juga pernah memperdalam keilmuan di luar negeri seperti bidang Coal Energy , Argonne, Chicago, Ill., USA, bidang Combustion, Petc, Pittsburgh, Pa, USA dan Pinch Technology, Asian-Australia Energy Cooperation. Bidang spesialisasi Beliau adalah Boiler, Turbin Uap/Gas, Pompa, Kompresor, Konversi Energi dan analisis energy.. Pernah mengerjakan projek pada bidang Modifikasi Sistem Pembakaran Lokomotip D-52, Modifikasi Sistem Penunjang Boiler, Analisis Sistem Boiler, dan lain-lain. PENGANTAR PELATIHAN :


Banyak industri besar saat ini mempergunakan tenaga kerja kontraktor, outsourching untuk mendapatkan cost yang lebih efisien. This course focuses on cathodic protection methods with sacrificial anode and impressed current to stop corrosion. Widjajono Partowidagdo is a Professor in Petroleum Economics and Field Management at the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), a member of National Energy Council, a member of Supervision Team for Increasing Petroleum Production at Ministry of  Energy and Mineral Resources and advisor for Association of Petroleum National Companies and Indonesian Petroleum Engineers Association.


He was the Head of the Research Group in Drilling and Production Engineering and Management of Oil and Gas at the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Mineral Technology, ITB from 2005-2007, Head of Graduate Program in Development Studies ITB from 1993-2004, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Mining Technology and Senate Member of ITB from 1994-1997 and Coordinator for Research in Sustainable Development at the Inter-University Center for Economics, University of Indonesia from 1989-1992.


He received his Bachelor in Petroleum Engineering from ITB, MSc in Petroleum Engineering, MSc in Operations Research, MA in Economics and PhD with a dissertation on "An Oil and Gas Supply and Economics Model for Indonesia" from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA.


He has written three books (in Indonesian):  Management and Economy of Oil and Gas, 2002; Understanding Development and Policy Analysis, 2004; and Petroleum and Energy in Indonesia, Problems and Policy Analysis, 2009. He was a coordinating author of Agenda 21, Energy for Sustainable Development, Coordinating Ministry of Environment and UNDP, 2000.

TPM is a process to maximize the productivity of your equipment for its entire life and will extend the life of the equipment. TPM fosters an environment where improvement efforts in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Creativity are encouraged, through the participation of all employees. The goal of TPM is to maximize your Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and to reduce equipment downtime while improving quality and capacity.


This workshop is designed to show that Total Productive Maintenance goes far beyond traditional maintenance boundaries to attack equipment-related waste, including: downtime, speed losses, defects, frequent adjustments, changeover, and breakdowns. BACKGROUND
